Accessing SAT & ACT practice Tests

Follow the instructions below to access Marigold Prep's

digital practice PSAT, SAT or ACT!

CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

Step 1:

Go to www.marigoldprep.com/practice and select "SAT" or "ACT", based on the practice test you're taking first.

Once your account is created, you can access the SAT and ACT regardless of which test you select. 

PLEASE DO NOT SELECT PSAT unless you have been specifically instructed to do so.

Step 2:

Enter your first name, last name, and email to create an account. 

DO NOT SELECT "Sign in with Google". 

Step 3:

Check your inbox for a message from hello@marigoldprep.com with a secure login code.

If you don’t see it, check your spam folder. 

If you still don't see it, it is due to spam filters in your email that are beyond our control. Try using a different email or phone number.

 

Step 4:

Navigate back to the practice platform and enter your secure code to activate the account.

Step 5:

ONLY FOR STUDENTS TESTING WITH EXTENDED TIME ACCOMMODATIONS

  1. Click your name in the bottom left-hand corner.

  2. Click "My Profile".

  3. Click "Edit Details".

4. Toggle "SAT Accommodation" or "ACT Accommodation" to on.

5. Select 1.5x or 2x time, based on your personal accommodations. 

6. Click "Save Changes".

Access Your Test
Step 1:

Log into your account at www.marigoldprep.com/practice-login

Instead of entering a password, you'll be emailed another secure code to log in.

Step 2:

Select your test (SAT or ACT) from the "My Courses" dropdown menu in the top left corner.

PLEASE DO NOT SELECT PSAT unless you have been specifically instructed to do so.

Step 3:

Select "Practice Test" from the left-side vertical menu.

For the SAT: Find "Full Length Diagnostic Test" and click "Start Test."​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

If you have already taken the "Full Length Diagnostic Test", please scroll down to access "Practice Test 4". It will be the only other test without a lock icon next to it. 

If you have already taken Practice Test 4, please contact us directly at least 48 hours before your test. 

For the ACT: Find "Enhanced ACT Diagnostic 2025" and click "Start Test."​​​​​

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROCTORED TESTS

AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE TEST DAY:

Students must create their testing accounts and contact us with questions AT LEAST 24 HOURS before their test. 

ZOOM ACCESS:

You will be emailed a Zoom link 30 minutes before your test begins. Please join the Zoom room a few minutes before your test starts. 

PLEASE REFER BACK TO YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO CONFIRM THE START TIME FOR THE TEST IN YOUR SPECIFIC TIME ZONE. 

WHAT TO BRING:

Students must have a fully charged device to test on, a calculator, and scratch paper. 

TIMING:

Testing times are as follows:

SAT, regular time: 2 hours and 14 minutes

SAT, 1.5x time: 3 hours and 21 minutes

SAT, 2x time: 4 hours and 28 minutes

ACT, regular time: 2 hours and 55 minutes

ACT, 1.5x time: 4 hours

ACT, 2x time: 5 hours and 50 minutes

All students will take a break about halfway through their exam. The times listed above do not include the break time, nor the ~10 minutes it generally takes to get students started testing. To determine when you will be done testing, please add ~20 minutes to the times listed above. 

RECEIVING SCORES:

Upon finishing their test, students will be asked to input their parents' email addresses. 

VALID PARENT EMAILS ARE REQUIRED TO ACCESS TEST SCORES.

Students will then be routed to a detailed score analysis. Parents will receive the same analysis via email. 

If you do not receive your child's score report, please check with them that they have entered your correct email address.
