Who is the Summer Launchpad Series for?

Marigold Prep's Summer Launchpad Series is for students new to the PSAT/SAT and ACT. These introductory workshops cover fundamental skills and strategies for success on these tests. ​

Students needing more in-depth prep are encouraged to explore our private tutoring programs. 

​

What is included in my Summer Launchpad purchase?

In addition to live, expert-led instruction, Summer Launchpad students receive access to Marigold Prep's adaptive practice platform, which includes practice tests and thousands of practice questions. As students master new skills, the practice questions increase in difficulty, meaning they'll never waste time covering content they already know!

How does the schedule work?

Workshops are designed to accommodate busy students! Students can take one workshop or the entire series, in whichever order suits their needs and schedule. ​

 

All workshops are listed in Pacific Standard Time, but we welcome students in all time zones.

My student hasn’t taken a PSAT or Pre-ACT yet. Are these workshops right for them?

Yes! These workshops are intended as a starting point, even for students not exposed to practice or pre-tests. We’ll cover test structure, question types, and key strategies so they can confidently approach their first big testing experience with knowledge and confidence! 

 

My student hasn’t yet decided between the SAT and ACT. Which workshops should we sign up for?

While both workshops cover core competencies included on both tests, we recommend that undecided students start with an SAT workshop. Almost every student will take a PSAT before sitting for an official SAT or ACT, and an SAT workshop will build confidence and strategy for their PSAT. Decades of experience and research have also led us to conclude that SAT skills are more transferable to the ACT than vice versa.

How many students are in each class?

Summer Launchpad workshops are capped at 10 students.​

​

What happens if I sign up and then need to cancel?

Full refunds are available until 7 days before your student’s workshop. After that, we will apply your credit to a different workshop or private tutoring program. ​

​

Why isn't there an ACT Science workshop?

Starting September 2025, the Science section will be optional for all ACT students. Since this section will only be relevant to select students, we encourage private tutoring for ACT Science prep. ​​​
