The Idiot tells the story Selin Karadağa, the daughter of Turkish immigrants who is starting her freshman year at Harvard. Through insightful and comedic narration, Selin comes to grips with the exhilarating confusion of first love with the growing consciousness that she is doomed to become a writer.
